DARIEN SPORTSPLEX FREESTYLE ICE
​​​Chicago Edge hosts a wide variety of Open Freestyle sessions each week, providing athletes of all ages and skill levels, an opportunity to work on their skills, arrange private lessons and have some fun. Please review the rules, waivers, contracts and scheduling approval process required to take the ice before arriving at the arena to skate.
Open Freestyle [All Ages & Levels]
Open Freestyle ice is for competitive skaters (adult and youth) to use for practice time throughout the day and for private lessons. Beginner skaters and Academy skaters may also use Freestyle Ice for private lessons and extra practice, depending on their age and skating level. Beginner skaters must be accompanied by a coach unless previously approved by skating directors.
Starting September 1st, we're introducing new pricing for Freestyle Ice:
$30 for a single-day Freestyle Ice Pass $16 for a 30-minute walk-on session.
Skaters can now enjoy unlimited skating for the entire day at one flat rate or opt for the 30-minute option.
All day-passes and walk-ons must be purchased prior to stepping on the ice. Skaters are limited to purchasing one pass per day. Families who book multiple skaters at once can purchase up to three sessions per day.​​​​
Please note that the previous punch card and walk-on options will be discontinued. However, any remaining prepaid ice time or punch cards will be honored until they are fully used.

All Unlimited Freestyle Ice packages must be purchased online through our registration portal, no exceptions.
